One Number.  One Call.  One Extraordinary Connection. (661) 822-7622

The world of Sherill Whisenand Cruz revolves around media management.  High-tech is out and high-energy is "in."  Good old-fashioned common sense and ethics are the norm.  Waving the magic wand and sparkling your career sounds good but that's not realistic and not really who Sherill Cruz is. You hire her for what she provides to her clients.  Her media skills are legendary and it all starts with one telephone number:   (661) 822-7622.

Sherill Whisenand Cruz hands over 30 years experience to the ever- evolving world of media relations.  She works one-on-one with clients to advance their publicity agenda and enrich the world with her clients' speaking abilities. Wise Connections LLC is a unique boutique of services.

Including Wise Connections LLC, she has a variety of projects:  she founded JusticeForAll Speakers.com loaded with specialty law enforcement speakers--the nation's only clearinghouse of sought-after law enforcement experts.  But she also represents many eclectic clients, from stand-up comedians and musicians featured regularly at New York and Los Angeles' top clubs, motivational speakers, spiritual leaders, select Hollywood entertainers and a variety of all-encompassing projects.  She books and re-books her clients on national radio and television programs.

The public turns to Sherill Whisenand Cruz for her unabashed ability to connect to the public. Her clients appear daily on most national news programs and the major networks of television and radio. She does not shy away from her seemingly-endless bag of contacts, many of whom are willing and able to provide access and expertise in the public arena.  She is not a publicist.  She is not an agent.  She is the consummate media manager.

Sherill Whisenand Cruz, a small town Iowa native, spent her adult life in the rough-and-tumble world of national politics. She holds an undergraduate degree in communications and theatre and later weathered graduate school in broadcast journalism.  She sharpened her media skills as a publicist at Good Morning America in New York and later as associate press secretary to United States Senator Charles E. Grassley (R-IA) on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.  Still in college, she served in the Iowa Governor's Office, and later as the Republican Party Presidential Caucus Director for the nationally-prominent Iowa Presidential Caucuses, created a statewide voter database program in Arkansas for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, managed media relations and campaign management in countless states for the National Republican Congressional Committee and National Republican Senatorial Committee.  Sherill Cruz was a communications director for southern states with Bush-Quayle '88, serving under the tutelage of now-President George W. Bush and the late Lee Atwater.  As a Bush Presidential appointee, Sherill wrote speeches for the National Blinded Veterans Association during the George H.W. Bush Administration and later moved to southern California to manage media relations for selected U.S. Congressional races after California’s 1992 redistricting. She served as the statewide campaign manager in 1998 in the California Republican Primary State Attorney General campaign.

She was whisked away from the daily management of campaigns to serve at the Walt Disney Companies in Burbank, CA for the Vice President of Government Relations where the daily duties included interaction with entertainment leaders, studio executives and its auxiliary studios and organizations such as the Motion Picture Association of America, the California Assembly and national political figures.

Later, Sherill became media director and special liaison to the entertainment community for the legendary peak-performance coach Anthony Robbins. After several years of working with his celebrity base and establishing relationships with national television and radio producers for his appearances, she had the enthusiastic support of Anthony Robbins to return to Los Angeles to create her own company and bevy of highly-visible speakers’ management.

Proudly calling her services as those of "the middle man," Sherill shepherds speakers through the maze of national and international speakers bureaus and their coordinates, so the speaker can do what he/she does best:  speak, move, motivate and live life to its fullest.    Sherill Whisenand Cruz regularly seeks corporate sponsorship for her clients and has been asked to speak about this phenomenon on many occasions.

Since returning to Los Angeles, Sherill Cruz has served as the associate producer/screener at Clear Channel Communications Worldwide, Inc.’s Premiere Radio in Los Angeles where she screened daily for the best calls for Dr. Laura Schlessinger's radio program (reaching 18 million listeners each day) and several other international radio programs via the radio network including Jim Cramer’s Money, Coast to Coast, The Suze Orman Show and the Michael Reagan Show, among others.

Sherill Whisenand Cruz served as the West Coast Public Relations Director for Medialink Worldwide, Inc., one of the nation’s largest media conglomerates for satellite television and radio media tours and maintains a solid working relationship with Medialink today.

Sherill Whisenand Cruz is a woman who believes “giving back gets you what you deserve.”   It comes from within.  She has been an active member at The Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA, serving on a variety of committees and also as a publicity liaison to Mrs. Arvella Schuller, wife of the Church’s founder, Dr. Robert H. Schuller, writing the international message books for The Crystal Cathedral; active in the Los Angeles Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, the Salvation Army, the Alzheimers and Related Disorders Association--Los Angeles chapter, the American Cancer Society and her local Rotary International where she has been a Rotarian for nearly two decades. Her interests include assisting law enforcement issues throughout the country with some of her high-profile law enforcement clientele. She was tapped as the fundraising coordinator for the  Sherman Oaks-Grossman Burn Center’s Children’s Burn Foundation Annual Giving New Hope Benefit in Beverly Hills.

In 2006, Sherill married Paul Cruz and they reside atop a mountain in the little village of Tehachapi, CA—listed as “one of the seven railroad engineering wonders of the world.”  In the magical little community just an hour outside of Los Angeles, Sherill Cruz is able to manage her national and international clientele while stopping to “smell the roses” and “walk our two beagles” every day.  She spends time in gridlock Los Angeles traffic as little as possible and jets cross-country for her clients when asked.

“I don’t ask anything of my clients that I have not done or would not do myself.  Integrity in all my life’s practices is what makes my business succeed,” says Cruz.  “It's all in the heart of the matter.  You can choose to sit back and do nothing or you can share your life and the lives and hearts of others with the world.  I choose to share."
